Electrician in Sale
Your local electrician in Sale
Sale is just up the A56 from our base in Altrincham, so we cover the whole town for homeowners and landlords. The work we’re asked for here ranges from replacing old fuse boxes and rewiring older houses to tracking down faults and wiring new kitchens and extensions.
All work is carried out by City & Guilds qualified electricians registered for Part P Full Scope, and is tested and certified to BS 7671. You’ll get a clear quote before anything starts and the right paperwork when it’s finished.
For landlord certificates and homebuyer reports, we also work through our sister company, Manchester Electrical Inspections, which carries out electrical inspections across Greater Manchester.

Homes in Sale
Sale has a real mix of housing. Around the town centre and Ashton upon Mersey there are Victorian and Edwardian terraces and semis, many with wiring that has been added to in stages over the years. Further out, much of the town is 1930s semis and post-war estates, including Sale West.
In the older homes, the jobs we see most are fuse box replacements, partial or full rewires, and fault finding on circuits that have been extended over decades. In the newer homes it’s more often kitchen refits, extensions, EV chargers and extra sockets.

Do you cover all of Sale?
Yes. We work throughout Sale, including Sale Moor, Brooklands, Ashton upon Mersey and Sale West, as well as neighbouring Timperley and Altrincham.
Does my fuse box need replacing?
Not always. If it has rewireable fuses, no RCD protection, or is an older plastic unit, an upgrade is worth considering; current regulations require new consumer units to have a non-combustible enclosure. We test first and tell you honestly whether it needs replacing.
I rent out a property in Sale. How often do I need an EICR?
In England, private landlords need an Electrical Installation Condition Report at least every five years, or sooner if the previous report says so, and must give a copy to their tenants.
